In Gurbani, rahao marks the refrain. The pause. The one line you keep coming back to. That's the film we're trying to make: the one your family returns to. So we move quietly through your day and watch for the things nobody poses for. Your dadi's hands folded during the paath. The whisper before the baraat leaves the house. The breath after the fourth laav.
A wedding isn't one day. It's a family at a turning point. We film it like it matters. Because it does.

Rahao Collective
A Punjabi wedding isn't one event. It's a season. It builds for days, sometimes for generations. So we don't treat the Anand Karaj as the climax and everything else as filler. The jaggo matters. The milni matters. Your mama dancing badly at the sangeet matters.
We edit like storytellers. In order when it's clearer, out of order when the feeling asks for it. We score with Punjabi folk, kirtan, Sufi music and modern soundtracks. Whatever the moment actually needs.
We're based in Punjab. And we travel across India and abroad for the right family.

The team
Rahao Collective started in 2026 with one belief: the best wedding films happen when the couple forgets we're there.
We work in small teams. Never crowds. We ask questions before we shoot, and we actually listen to the answers.
The Collective is a small group of filmmakers, colourists and editors who share one philosophy. Every film is a collaboration. But every film has one lead eye behind it. We go wherever love takes us. And we stay until the last song ends.
